1. Acceptance

By subscribing to The Cost of Now or by accessing thecostofnow.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't subscribe and don't use the site.

You must be at least 13 years old to subscribe. If you're under 18, please subscribe with the supervision of a parent or guardian.

2. The newsletter

The Cost of Now is a weekly editorial letter on opportunity cost, the price of impulse, and the real math behind luxury purchases. It is provided free of charge by 1337.ai. We reserve the right to modify frequency, format, or content at any time.

We may, in the future, introduce paid subscription tiers. Any such offering will be clearly labeled and entirely optional.

The Cost of Now is editorial content. Nothing in the newsletter or on this site constitutes financial, investment, tax, legal, or any other professional advice. No essay or calculation should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, asset, or product.

Historical market returns — including the S&P 500's long-run 10.5% average — do not guarantee future results. Markets decline as well as rise. Actual returns will vary.

4. Intellectual property

All content in The Cost of Now — essays, typography, layout, and illustrations — is the property of 1337.ai unless otherwise attributed.

You may share excerpts (with attribution) for personal, non-commercial use. Republication in whole or substantial part, for any purpose, requires written permission.

You may not use The Cost of Now content to train machine-learning systems, scrape at scale, or republish via automated means without explicit consent.

5. Subscriber conduct

You agree to use a valid email address that you own and control. You may not subscribe another person's email without their consent, and you may not use the subscription form to abuse, harass, or spam.

If you attempt to impersonate The Cost of Now, forward altered versions of our content, or otherwise misrepresent our editorial voice, we reserve the right to terminate your subscription and pursue other remedies.

6. Termination & unsubscribe

You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter email, or by emailing hello@1337.ai. Unsubscription is processed promptly.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend any subscription at our discretion, typically in cases of abuse, spam, or technical bounce loops.

7. No warranties

THE NEWSLETTER AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. 1337.AI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE NEWSLETTER WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR DELIVERED ON ANY PARTICULAR SCHEDULE.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted with a new "Last updated" date at the top, and — where practical — communicated directly to subscribers. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
